Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Duration: 1 year
Available at Nuneaton Campus only
This course provides an excellent introduction to working within educational settings. You will develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required to support teaching and learning while gaining an understanding of child development, safeguarding and classroom practice.
Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Duration: 1 year
This advanced qualification prepares students for a rewarding career supporting children and young people in schools and educational settings. You will develop a deeper understanding of learning, behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion while gaining practical experience to support classroom teaching and pupil development.
T Level Assisting Teaching
Duration: 2 years
Developed in partnership with employers, the T Level in Assisting Teaching combines classroom learning with a substantial industry placement. Students develop the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required to support teaching, learning and pupil wellbeing across a variety of educational settings.
This programme provides a strong foundation for careers in education and progression to higher-level study, apprenticeships and teacher training pathways.
Throughout your studies, you will develop industry-relevant skills, knowledge and behaviours including:

- Promoting positive behaviour
- Supporting literacy and numeracy development

T Level Assisting Teaching

Entry requirements vary according to course level. Previous qualifications, experience and aspirations will be discussed during the interview process to ensure students are enrolled on the programme most suited to their goals.

*If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade 4 or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/or English as an integral part of your college programme.
We offer a range of support services to help you succeed during your studies, including:
Courses are free for 16-18 who have not studied higher than GCSE's, and for 19-24 with an EHCP. Even if you have studied a different course at college or sixth form we may still be able to help. Speak to the admissions team for more information. There maybe free or reduced costs for adults, contact the admissions team to see if you are eligible.
